✍ What’s on our mind?

As the Paris 2024 Olympics are in full swing, the city has seen an unprecedented economic and environmental impact. With billions invested in creating the most sustainable Olympics yet, local businesses are set to reap significant rewards. The Paris 2024 committee allocated €4.4 billion to cover ticketing, licensing, and hospitality, promising a boost for the local economy.

A Deloitte study predicts that Airbnbers attending the games will spend half a billion euros on restaurants and leisure activities. This influx of visitors is a golden opportunity for local businesses to boost their sales and showcase their offerings to a global audience.

Beyond that, corporate sponsorship has also evolved, with companies like Coca-Cola, a pioneer in Olympic sponsorship since 1928, committing to sustainability. The iconic drinks brand plans to use only recyclable glass bottles during the games, highlighting the event's eco-friendly focus.

Christophe Dubi, Executive Director of the Olympic Games, emphasizes the goal of making a positive impact on business, society, and the planet. Antoine Guillou, Deputy Mayor of Paris, discusses a €1.4 billion investment to prepare the river Seine for the games and protect the city's water supply against pollution (the river will be so clean, even French president Macron promises to swim in it).

As the world converges on Paris, the city is not just hosting an event but setting a benchmark for sustainable development and economic growth.

Would you swim in the river Seine?
